Benefits of Acupuncture

  • Detoxify and Cleanse With Acupuncture

Have you ever tried detoxifying your body with acupuncture? Did you know that acupuncture has been an effective and primary practice in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for many thousands of years? Acupuncture can actually be used to cleanse your body because its principle is based on the balance of Qi (pronounced as chi), or the vital life energy force that harmonizes and nourishes the functions of your body.

At Acupuncture At Riverside, you will find a medical clinic where Eastern Medicine meets Western Medicine, providing the ultimate healing experience. With 25+ years of experience, we are proud of our service to our patients as we continue to heal numerous conditions.

  • Your Acupuncture Treatment Will Be as Unique as You Are

At Acupuncture At Riverside, we recognize that every patient is an individual. We strive to offer personalized service and will create a customized acupuncture program specifically designed for you.

We provide FREE Wi-Fi and water for patients at our clinic.

  • How Does Acupuncture Detox?

Toxins are almost certainly consumed through additives, harmful foods, polluted air, water, or even normal bad habits. Acupuncture detects the toxins, called Jaki, and removes them. A sensation of aching, heaviness, numbness, and tingling in the affected area may be felt. When this happens, it is believed that the Qi has arrived.

Electro-Neuro Acupuncture

Electro-Neuro Acupuncture

Every function in our balanced approach to help you stay healthy runs on electrical impulses. Electro-Neuro Acupuncture reintroduces a range of frequencies to the nervous system that the body can use. This restores the body's natural Acupuncture energy, and promotes rest and healing in the parasympathetic nervous system. It does exceptionally well for neuropathies and pain of all kinds.

Every function in our bodies runs on electrical impulses. We are constantly bombarded with frequencies that our bodies need to guard against and repel, from our lights to WiFi to the electric wires feeding our homes to all the appliances inside. But over time, we lose the impulses that we need for our bodies to function, and this, in turn, makes us susceptible to the pathogens (viruses and bacteria) constantly circulating around us, and so we get sick.

Electro Neuro Acupuncture reintroduces a range of frequencies to the nervous system that the body can use. We absorb those frequencies we need to refill our cups, and the rest is ignored. By supplying this e-qi, we allow our bodies to once again function as they were meant to function, protecting us from the pathogens around us, healing that which was sick or broken, and moving our nervous system from sympathetic (fight or flight and pain) to parasympathetic (rest, restore, regenerate), hence healing our pain.

This is a two-month protocol involving one month of three 20-minute treatments a week and another month of treatments twice a week. By the end, the body is well on its way to healing and health. Most of the time, only periodic tune-ups are required thereafter. Most insurances that cover acupuncture will also cover electric stim acupuncture.

Japanese Style Acupuncture

Japanese Style Acupuncture

Japanese Style Acupuncture

At Acupuncture at Riverside, Japanese style acupuncture is performed with needles that are thinner, sharper, and smaller. The needles are inserted through tubes made of plastic. This reduces pain and enhances accuracy. This method involves inserting the needles more gently and superficially.

Benefits of Japanese Style Acupuncture

When it comes to Japanese acupuncture, the focus is on first balancing the energy in your body before going on to treat the specific problem. In addition to a faster recovery for the patient, this will also leave you feeling great after the treatment and enhance your body's ability to function optimally, resist illness, reduce inflammation, and resolve causes of pain.

Relieve Body Pain with Cupping and Moxa Techniques

With the aid of cupping and moxa techniques, we at Acupuncture at Riverside offer traditional medical treatments that can relieve you of body pain, stimulate your body's energy to give you better health, and alleviate pain.

How does cupping work?

A therapist places cups on your skin to create suction in Cupping therapy, an ancient alternative medicine. It can be used for a number of purposes, including pain relief, inflammation relief, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and deep-tissue massage.

What is Moxibustion Therapy?

Burning dried plant materials called "moxa" on or very near the surface of the skin is called Moxibustion. Warming and invigorating the flow of Qi in the body and eliminating pathogenic influences are the goals.

Moxas are compressed into sticks or poles that resemble large cigars after being ignited and allowed to smolder, creating a very penetrating form of heat. It is also helpful for treating pain, digestive problems, arthritis, ulcers, muscle cramps, and more.
